Pectus Up Successfully was Launched in the Middle East

Dr. Adel Khuder and Dr. Alshehab lead the entry of Pectus Up in the Arabian Gulf.
On Thursday, 16 February 2023, the first Pectus Up interventions took place at Chest Diseases Hospital in Kuwait. The operations were led by Dr. Adel Khuder Ayed (Consultant and Head of Thoracic & Foregut Surgery team) and Dr. Derar S. Alshehab (Consultant Thoracic Surgeon), with the participation of Dr. Essa M Y GH ALGhunaim (Thoracic Surgeon), and other team of Thoracic Surgeons from Chest Diseases Hospital.
Being the first time that Pectus Excavatum patients can be operated in the Middle East with the Pectus Up technique, Kuwait becomes a leading country in the whole Arabian Gulf.

(Barcelona, Spain) travelled expressly to participate directly in the surgeries, after Dr. AIShehab and Dr. AlGhunaim visited Barcelona last spring for a training session on Pectus Up at the Hospital Sagrat Cor.
